Welcome to the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra's home page. We hope that you find the information here to be interesting and helpful, and we invite you to join us as we celebrate our 16th season. Under the baton of our exceptional Music Director, Maestro David Hoose, the 1995-1996 season promises to be the most exhilerating ever.

The purpose of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra is to maintain and further develop a resident, professional symphony orchestra to produce cultural and educational opportunities of the Tallahassee, North Florida, and South Georgia communities.

In order to broaden our audience, we have doubled our concerts by adding to our traditional Friday series a series on Sunday afternoons. We are encouraging families to enjoy symphonic music by offering a family season ticket package with special rates for children's tickets on Sunday. What better way to introduce a child to the beauty of music!

Our indefatigable Board of Directors and Tallahassee Symphony Society hare hard at work providing the necessary funding to bring these moments of magic to you. The Tallahassee Symphony Society's Holiday Tour of Homes will be December 1 and 2. The Board's Gala Snowflake Ball will be held on January 19 and promises to be an enchanting evening in white.

We especially want to thank you, our loyal audience, for your dedication over the last fifteen years. The hallmark of a major league city is a superb and thriving orchestra. We are blessed to have such an orchestra in Tallahassee.
